Nutria by the Creek

It's the first time for more than decades that nutria (Myocastor coypus) has been seen here, in this land. It's an aquatic rodent that eats grass and plants. Its origin is South America and was first brought up here to North America, i.e. Louisiana, for its fur. Since then it created erosion problem due to their eating habit on the marsh lands of Louisiana and somehow it found its way to this neighboring state. It looks like a beaver, but it has a long lean tail like a rat.
