Red Yarrow

Achillea millefolium.

I like to observe how a flower bud turn into beautiful mature flower. The following pictures show my observations on red yarrow blooms.

The plants (3 of them) were purchased last year in small starter pots and this year they've multiplied then been divided into probably 9 individual plants. It's kind of a weed in some other places or can be found in the wild, as a matter of fact we found wild yarrow in the property not too far from where this red yarrows are planted. Fortunately, the wild one bears white flowers, not red!
