Temperature has been coolish this week (70F). Fertilize the plants today. Gladiolus starts blooming. Will post the pictures later. Compiling blue and purple flowers around the garden that are blooming now.
Veronica - purchased last year from BM.
Blue Salvia - grown from seed, started last year.
Salvia - purchased this year in 4in pot from BM.
Pickerel Weed (a water plant) - purchased one stem with root two years ago.
Butterfly bush - purchased last year from Harris Nursery, Tyler, TX.
The new growth this year is much bigger and taller than last year plant.
I almost cut it off thinking it was a kind of weed growing at the base of the plant.
This bloom is from the new growth.
