Propagation of Brugmansia

Purple Angel's Trumpet or Brugmansia's undulated seed pod in the early stage.

As the seed pod gets fatter, the purple color dissipates and its surface becomes smooth.

And then it starts to crack open.

Open wider and wider and the seeds fall into the ground and become new plants in spring.

New International Version Bible
Gen 1:11 Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds." And it was so.
Gen 1:12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

That is a Datura not a Brugmansia. Very different plants.

Definitely not, the fruit of Datura has spines!
