This Bleeding Heart (Dicentra) is blooming for the first time this year. It was purchased last year (2008) in spring, died down in winter, and came back alive very slowly this year, in late spring. It's an herbaceous perennial and normally blooms in spring.© Burke's Garden, 2009.
