Last year I decided to grow Echinacea, so I bought two mature plants in a nursery but they didn't make it through the summer. So I started over again this year. In spring I planted 2 Echinacea purpurea bare roots and sow a package of seeds. I am so glad to see they grew and even better two of the plants are blooming now. I read that the plant usually would bloom the next year after they established if it was grown from seeds. Probably these two plants that are blooming now are the ones grown from bare roots.
