Hyacinth Bean and Butter Bean

Purple hyacinth beans that were started from seeds are finally making flowers. This is supposed to be an ornamental bean, not an edible one. As an ornamental plant, it's quite disappointing for I've been expecting to see more flowers and in earlier time in the year.

Butter bean plants are trying to make beans, but I'm afraid they're running out of time. The wintry weather has arrived and their seed pods are still flat, no bean. They got too hot in the summer, they just stopped flowering and making beans, but the foliage keep growing well. We should have planted them much earlier in spring.
